I had my niece (10) and nephew (12) to stay during the school holidays and I decided to set them a task. That was - to create some music/ ringtones in Garageband that they could then upload onto voeveo and sell to raise funds for their next school trip. What a great way to keep them entertained and not to mention getting those young creative juices flowing… I hope they do well and hope their friends and family support them. Such a long time …in fact a massive gap in posting so here goes my first post in 2008. It didn’t help that after only 2 years of owning a macbook pro (which I thought were bullet proof may I add)- the hard drive gave up the ghost! It’s taking ages to get back on my feet again -sadly - I wasn’t very diligent at doing back ups …but - lesson learnt now!

Anywho, enough about that - recently I’ve had some fantastic sound mixing jobs ( if you’d like to know more go to About Beth Audio Post). This photo shows my protools screen of one of the mixes…millions of ‘dots’ later and there’s an audio mix for you!!!!

…this is from the Steam Train series of sounds I recorded a while back The lovely old ‘Kingston Flyer’ still chuffs along the tracks taking tourists for a very real ride!

What a fantastic , inspiring , stunning place Milford Sound is ! I visited the sound recently with a bunch of aussies….they loved it. Before we got there though, we had to dodge the avalanches……!

…and then of course the nosey Keas just wanted to play (and eat parts of the car!)

Here’s Milford Sound in all it’s glory - and beautiful blues skies. Such a great trip, topped off with an overnight stay on the Milford Mariner - thank you Real Journeys.
